Mr Davies lives next to the allotments, as well as telling us about the history of the Common Gardens and Allotments from the time when the town enclosed the Common, he recalls his own memories of the plots.
Allotmenteer since the 1960’s, Cllr Adams-Lewis tells us about some of the struggle to keep the plots alive in recent times.

Geoff has grown flowers on the allotment for Gil for 22 years. They tell us about what they grow. Gil’s Grandparents lived around the corner, and when she tells us about her experiences of the allotments as a child in the 1960’s.
Mr Hyland took on the allotment that he still cultivates with his wife as soon as they were married in April 1962. Since then they haven’t bought a single potato!
